Groups and choirs

We run groups at the Albany Theatre and at schools across the city.

After hours music lessons are currently held on Thursdays at the Southfields Adult Education Centre.

EXCITING NEWS FOR 2025/26

For anyone who is currently a GoCV or GoCV+ member all groups will be FREE to attend. So you havent signed up already now is a great time to access this discount plus other great offers and discounts across the city, GoCV+ member will also be eligible for a 25% discount on music lessons.

• We are always looking for new members to join our groups. This is a chance to develop your music skills and play with other musicians, as well as getting the opportunity to perform across the city.
• We have groups for all levels and abilities, everything from choirs, to string orchestras, to rock band projects and inclusive creative music groups.
• Sign up links for our new groups are can be found below. Sign up, provide your GoCV membership number or pay the small termly fee and come along to the group. Please note groups are paid for termly.
• If you can't see a group to suit your style, or would like to talk to us about what we offer or what group might be best then contact us and we will be happy to help.

Pricing for our groups for 2025-26 is: 

Terms and Conditions

• Prices are subject to change.
• Groups are 30 sessions per year (averaging 10 sessions per term. Note some terms may be less than 10 sessions but still charged at the same termly rate)
• You will be charged the full termly amount, regardless of start date. No refunds will be given for missed sessions or cancellations.
• Parents signing up for any of our services directly with us will be billed monthly by direct debit, except for groups where you will be asked to pay termly if applicable by an online link sent out each term by email)
• There is a cap of £40 per child per term, regardless of the number of groups attended
• There is a cap of £80 per family per term.
• Instrument hire is free to all students who take up a service with us, inc. tuition directly with us or through school, or when joining one of our music groups.
• Not all instruments can be hired - please check with us for more details.

• Once payment has been made your child will be added to the group register and can start attending. Please note that payment is for one full term, regardless of start date and refunds will not normally be given for part terms attended.
