Christmas Concert 2024 a magical success!
Last night we held our annual Christmas Concert at Central Hall. Audiences were rewarded with a truly festive and memorable collection of songs and music by over 250 young people from across the city.
The event featured our String Orchestra, Flute Group, several musicians form our new Project Orchestra, along side Young Voices and Musical Theatre singers; as well as singers from 10 Coventry schools; Aldermans Green Community Primary, Cannon Park Primary, Earlsdon Primary, Frederick Bird Primary, Gosford Park Primary, John Gulson Primary, Longford Park Primary, Moseley Primary, Spon Gate Primary and Finham Park 2. Guest speakers included Cllr Seaman and two rising stars from our new Music Podcast.
The talent on show was great to see and is a testament to all the teachers and group leaders who have worked tirelessly with all the young people, creating lasting memories and developing musical skills. The children sang and played their hearts out and lifted the roof! Central Hall was packed with proud family and friends, as well as special guests Fleur Sexton DL and Dr Geoff Wilcocks, Cllr Pat Seaman, Cllr Christine Thomas, Martin Ledgard, Devina Whitwell. You can watch a small snippet from the show on below and on our social Media.
We would like to send a big thank you to everyone who joined us and made this one of our favourite events of the year again this year.
We would also like to give a big thanks to everyone who made a donation to the Coventry Music Trust - who are supported every year at this event, to help more children in the city access music and progress with their musical journeys. Without your donations and support this would not be possible.
Coventry Music would like to wish all the children, friends and family, schools, teachers, music tutors, partners and everyone else they have worked with this year a wonderful Christmas and New Year.
