Members are drawn from a range of primary and secondary schools in the city, and are at levels from grade 2 to grade 6.

Playing in a group is a huge support to learning your instrument; you’ll practice reading notation, finding the notes you’re learning and also develop lots of musicianship skills while having lots of fun playing.

This choir gives you the chance to develop your vocal technique while exploring a wide range of music styles, old and new! The emphasis is always on having fun, and no auditions or previous experience is required.
We have regular performance opportunities and, over the past 2 years, have performed at Warwick Arts Centre, Drapers' Hall, Methodist Central Hall, Broadgate Pop-up Stage - where will our singing take us next?

SoundLab is a centre for creative music making in partnership with the Coventry Music and Coventry University. The vision is to create a space for all young people to be creative in their music making, whilst seeking diversity in musical genre, pathway to music instruments, vocal styles and culture. Removing the barriers to enable all who wish to engage the opportunity to do so. SoundLab-Cov is for 11-18 year olds, who have a range of musical interests and styles including spoken word, dance, electronic, jazz, classical and more.
- it is open to young people who play an instrument, create digital beats/music and those who sing, rap or create spoken word.
- At SoundLab-Cov you'll work with a team of professional musicians, with guest artists and performance opportunities across the year.
- If you are aged between 11-18 and would like to make music with our SoundLab-Cov team, there's still space to join our Coventry sessions!
